The W.M.R.U…

After hours of searching through new jobs on the internet, we gave up...!
We decided to sit down and think for a while…
“What does the world have A LOT of?” I asked Mr Tikini…
“Land mass, SLR-toting SCENESTERS, and WASTE!” He promtly replied.
“Exactly. I agree.” I said. It was within those few seconds that we decided to
form an alliance… An Alliance with one very simple objective…
TO RID THE WORLD OF IT’S WASTE!
The virus that has plagued this planet since the turn of our new century
and possibly before… Wastemen aka Potato Boys!
Wastegyal and Wastelings Worldwide also BEWARE…

SPEXSAVERS INTRODUCE:

THE W.M.R.U. (WASTEMAN REMOVAL UNIT / POTATO-BOY SEISOUKYOKU)

Photobucket

If by any chance you see the battered limbs of any renouned or
up-and-coming Wastemen hanging out of the rear of our dump truck,
you’ll know why… Snatched off the turntables during mid-flow at venues
across the nation, Wastemen BEWARE! Kidnapped from behind the
assumed safety of their computer screen, Art Colleges and Streetwear
stores across the globe, Scenesters BEWARE TOO!

Photobucket

Waste of all descriptions will be PERMANENTLY removed with a service
that effortlessly rivals that of your local authority…
Wastemen, Wastegyal and Wastelings alike - none will be spared!
Unfortunately, we do not provide a recycling service at W.M.R.U.
Your unwanted waste products will not be melted down, re-packaged and
re-sold to you… Instead they will be INCINERATED never to haunt your
cherished individualist lifestyle again.

*REPORT your local Wastemen to us here…

THE A-TEAM

... Now if i can only get them to sort out the lame-o’s from the real,
then we may be able to save something from this scene.

Peace out!

Catchin’ a lime…

...does NOT involve throwing a small green citrus fruit back and forth
with your friends...I’m terribly sorry to inform you!
Instead, ‘catchin’ a lime’ is a term used by the people of Grenada (my 2nd home)
and many other small islands in the beautiful Caribbean, as a way of describing
a good place to chill and catch vibes. Usually outside, on the wall of your house,
on the block, or outside your favourite shop, a lime is simply just a time and place
to chill amongst those you can connect with, catching jokes, drinking and debating
about whatever the moment evokes, there are NO RULES!

Yesterday evening, accompanied by Brother Tikini and Brother Uchiyama, I enjoyed
a very special lime at the one and only ‘Phi Wi Spot’ in Shimokitazawa
with the shop staff aka our extended family.

Myself and Mr Tikini arrived first, Beer in hand enjoying the unrelenting Japanese
sun rays… Chilling outside the shop where if you don’t get knocked over by a passing
motorcycle, you’re bound to get french-kissed a few times by the local Setagaya mosquitos…
Shortly after joined by a Helmet-rocking Uchiyama San, pushing his ‘ped down the street.

Vibes were HIGH… All natural of course. We jammed, cracking joke about how long
Mr Tikini spent in the toilet… Avoiding the ever attacking onslaught of mosquitos,
moths and beetles (starting to sound like the outback adventures of Steve Irwin-R.I.P.)
A true summer time in TYO…

Peace God!

Flickin’ through my CD’s today, I felt an uncontrolable urge
to listen to some Killah Priest. It’s definately been a while…

When I was a teenager at secondary school, if a CD did’nt have that
LOUD Records logo on it, or that infamous ‘W’ emblem, then it probably
wasn’t worth listening to. Those were the days! But nowadays, anything
goes and I’m certainly not here to tell you what’s good or bad for your ears.

I remember being back in London, sat in my office chair bored out of my
skull fixated at the window till my brother Ibz would walk by and give me
an excuse to get out of there and take a reality break. I have to say, I think
Ibz is the only person I know who REALLY knows his stuff when it comes
to the ‘W’. Catching vibes, we would chat for much longer than my work contract
permitted about everything from music to martial arts. Blessed times…

Respect to Ibz, who by the way is an incredibly talented producer, so look out
for links to his music Myspace page soon.

I’ll leave you with a taste of my afternoon…

Peace to the Gods & Earths…
